Dakota's Army

On Sept. 13th, 2023, Dakota was taken to the York Hospital Emergency Room due to vomiting and headaches, where they found a tennis ball sizemass in his brain. He was immediately transferred to Hershey children’s Hospital where they performed brain surgery and found out that he has Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT), a very aggressive, cancerous tumor. Due to where the tumor is located, this has caused Dakota some behavioral troubles, as well as left sided weakness. We will be admitted into Hershey Children’s for the next 6 months as Dakota receives chemotherapy and radiation for his tumor. Please pray for Dakota as he gets ready to have the fight of his life. We need all of the prayers and support we can get. We have an army. Dakota’s army. 🩶

Dakota has pressed through many chemo treatments and was on his last series when his little body started developing an infection. This infection led to multiple complications including bleeding and fluid in his lungs, and small tears on his body. In order for him to recover and heal, he was placed on ECMO and under sedation. Day after day, his body endures everything that is handed to him while his parents can only sit and watch. Small improvements have been made and he is heading in the right direction slowly.
